How did I get into this work?

You know that old adage - “we teach what we most need to learn”?

It applies here.

I was really disconnected from my sexuality, whilst being really curious about it at the same time.

My relationship with sex was performative, formulaic, void of feeling, & often even painful.

Which mirrored how I was showing up in life outside the bedroom. I was a chronic people-pleaser, had no idea what I truly wanted/needed, & whilst my life seemed to be pretty great on the surface, I felt really numb most of the time.

I’d bought new lingerie + toys, explored porn, & tried tips from Cosmopolitan, but my sex & even orgasms never stopped feeling empty.

I sensed that rather than being broken, I was blocked - by layers of conditioning, stress, shame & trauma.

So I bravely began a journey of releasing, reclaiming & empowering my sexuality in a deep & embodied way! Which radically transformed every single facet of my life.

Along the journey, I felt such a clear calling to facilitate this work for others. So I transitioned away from my successful corporate career, retrained, & opened my practice in 2018!

I’m inspired by the work of…

Layla Martin Audre Lorde Mama Gena

Sonya Renee Taylor Peter Levine Esther Perel

Barbara Carrellas Dr. Scott Lyons

as well as ancient wisdom from the Tantric, Yogic & Taoist traditions

My approach is…

  • Invitational. Your agency is always centered. In our sessions, you are positioned as the expert of your experience. I am here as a space holder, mirror & skilled guide. You will never have to participate in anything you don’t feel a true yes for.

  • Somatic-focused. I work with clients in two directions: mind > body & body > mind. We won’t just transform your thoughts + beliefs, we’ll also re-pattern your nervous system facilitating holistic & sustaining transformation.

  • Processing AND cultivating. Traditional therapy focuses on processing the past. My work focuses on both processing past wounds, outdated patterns & beliefs that are standing in the way, as well as cultivating new mindsets & nervous system capacities so that you can experience your sexual self & relationship(s) in powerful new ways.

  • Two parts pleasure, for one part shadow work. Throw out any ideas you might have about inner work being stiff & boring. Pleasure & celebration is incredibly valuable in any healing & transformational process. Yes, we go deep. And, we cultivate pleasure, play & celebration!

  • Trauma-informed. I have received significant trauma training & have a lot of experience working with survivors within their ‘window of tolerance’.
